Mr. Sodi is a 30 year veteran as a successful investor in the TMT sector. He has led over 120 transactions (over a billion in equity invested) across Europe, North America and Latin America.

Mr. Sodi is currently an investor in and serves on the board of:

 

  • ITE Group PLC (Non Executive Chairman), a FTSE 250 company in the international exhibition and tradeshow industry
  • Antenna Group (Board of Advisors), a diversified media company investing in Central & Western Europe, controlled by the Kyriakou family
  • Data Centrum Communications (NED), a US magazine and online health care information company for patients and doctors

 

Marco left Veronis Suhler Stevenson in March 2010 after 23 successful years as both a General Partner and Investment Committee Member. He started and led all aspects of VSS activities in Europe since 1999.

  • Hemscott PLC, a UK/USA AIM listed financial information company (2004-07)
  • YBR, a pan European directory company (2004-05)
  • De Telefoongids, a yellow pages company in the Netherlands (2003-05)
  • Fonecta, a Finnish internet and mobile search company (2002-05)
  • Mediatel, a yellow pages company in Austria, Czech and Poland (2003-05)
  • ITE Group PLC, a UK listed tradeshow company operating in Russia and CIS (2003-05)
  • Centaur Communications PLC, a UK magazine publishing business (1998-2004)
  • Yellow Book USA, a yellow pages business sold to BT PLC in 1999 (1996-99)

 

In 2006 Marco received numerous awards as best private equity deal of the year for Yellow Brick Road, the Yellow Pages rollup sold to Macquarie for 1.75 bil.

Prior to joining VSS in 1988, Mr. Sodi was shareholder and manager in Computerworks, a start up in the personal computer industry and worked for four years at Exxon Enterprises, the venture capital arm of ExxonMobil.  In total Mr. Sodi has 27 years of investment experience, focused on the TMT industries.  Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Mr. Sodi received a BS from Cornell University.
